Benjamin received his B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Madras, India, in 1989, the M.Tech. degree in Opto-electronics and Laser Technology from the Cochin University of Science and Technology, India, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Instrumentation, Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2014. He is currently an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Instrumentation, Cochin University of Science and Technology. Between 1989 and 1997, he held various positions in Industry, 1997 he joined in the Department of Electronics, BPC College, in 2018 he was promoted as Professor. From 2020 he was deputed as Controller of Examinations at Cochin University of Science and Technology His research interests include Fiber Sensors, Sensors, Photonic Crystals etc.
